TROUBLE SLEEPING? HERE’S HOW I LEARNED TO FALL ASLEEP IN UNDER 1 MINUTE EVERY NIGHT

I had difficulties to fall asleep for a long time. It could be caused by bad food late at night, too much TV before sleeping or stress. It was very tough for me to switch off my brain and fall asleep at night. After several weeks of struggle, I a friend of mine told me about the breathing trick “4-7-8”.

Did it help me?

This method was originally developed by the wellness practitioner, Harvard-educated Dr. Andrew Weil, who studies meditation, breathing and its usefulness for treating stress. This method is very easy. Inhale through your nose for four seconds, withhold it for seven seconds and then breathe out through your mouth for 8 seconds. In this way you are decreasing your heart rate and also chemicals are released in your brain, that sooth you. At the beginning I didn’t believed that this will help me, but when I tried it worked! I fell asleep before I finished my fourth iteration. This method knocks me out in just a minute.
You can implement this method for other conditions too. If you are stressed, your endocrine system releases adrenaline through your adrenal glands. This leads to increased heart rate which will make you feel edgy and wispy. It can also lead to rapid and shallow breathing.
With the help of this method you are affecting the natural effects of adrenaline which results in reducing the heart rate. At the beginning you may feel a little bit uncomfortable.
But if you continue with the method, you will actually feel your heart rate is decreased and your mind clear. It is like you are spending an afternoon on some nice beach. Try this method and share your experience with us!
