Aspirin, or acetylsalicylic acid, is a well-known drug that can treat pain, fever and inflammation. However, these wonder pills also have other amazing uses which you probably haven’t heard about.
Here are 9 interesting uses for aspirin:
1. Rejuvenates your skin
Aspirin contains salicylic acid, a powerful skin cleaner that can reduce swelling, redness and acne. Salicylic acid cleans the excess oil and dead cells from your pores which is usually the main cause of several skin problems. In order to use aspirin on your acne, crush 5 aspirin pills and add them to a ¼ of a cup of water, then add a teaspoon of honey and mix well. Apply the paste on your skin and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Repeat the process until you achieve the desired results.
2. Makes your flowers will last longer
Fresh cut flowers have a tendency to wither quickly, but adding a crushed aspirin pill in the water in the base will make them last for longer.
3. Removes perspiration stains
Who doesn’t hate those awful underarm stains caused by antiperspirants? If you hate them as much as we do, we have good news! Crush a couple aspirin pills and mix them with half a cup of warm water, then soak the stains in the solution for 2-3 hours. You will be amazed by the results!
4. Restores your hair color
When you swim in a chlorinated pool, your hair loses its bright color, which is not exactly pleasing. But, don’t be worried – dissolve 6-8 aspirin pills in a glass of warm water and rinse your hair with the solution. Leave it to work for 10-15 minutes and voila! Your hair is bright and nice again!
5. Dry out pimples
Similar to the effect it has on acne, aspirin can dry out pimples as well. Crush an aspirin pills and mix it with a little water, then apply the mixture on the affected areas and leave it for a couple of minutes. Repeat the process until all the pimples are gone.
