Mahashta Mûrasi, born in January 1835, is a former cobbler who lives in North of India. He entered Guinness World Records as the oldest man that ever lived on Earth.
In accordance to Indian officials, this man was born in the city of Bangalore on January 6th 1835, and is recorded to have lived in Varanasi since 1903. His profession was a cobbler in the city until 1957, when he retired at the already incredible age of 122.
Mr. Mûrasi has lived so long, as he states that his great grandchildren have passed away for years. He also says that death has forgotten about him that he hardly and doubts that he will die any time soon. According to the statistics, nobody has died past 150, and less at 170. “I guess I’m immortal or something” he jokes. “I might as well enjoy it!”
The man’s birth certificate and identity cards verify his version, but sadly no medical examination can confirm his saying for now. The last doctor Mister Murasi visited died in 1971, so there is little accessible information about his previous medical files.
This old man has set the Guinness World Record as the oldest man in Indian history.
