The, perhaps aptly-titled, lists many reasons people hate visiting their dentist’s office. Many of those fears come to roost in such dreaded procedures as wisdom teeth removal and, the topic of today’s post, cavity filling.
But what if there were a natural, less invasive and painful way to fill those pesky craters in your chompers?
Read on, good people.
Eggshells – y’know, those things you throw away without hesitation – are actually quite useful for everything from cleaning water to relieving pain.
They’re also great for repairing bone damage – in other words, they can work wonders for repairing cavities.
Eggshells are considered to be a great source of calcium based on the fact that they contain so much of the bone-strengthening compound (93% of the entire eggshell structure).
In fact, the composition of eggshells bears a strong resemblance to that of our teeth due to the similar stone-like materials that are found in each.
Great! So how exactly do you harness this power to help heal your cavities?
You’ll want to take the eggshells and boil them for about 5 minutes – this will kill the pathogens.
Next, leave the shells to dry and then grind them in a coffee grinder or small blender. Then, simply add 1/2 teaspoon to water and drink that per day.
Be sure to swish it around the cavity’s vicinity for extra good measure. (source)
