Low temperature inside the refrigerator can sometimes destroy the beneficial ingredients of some products and make them unfit for consumption and prefect to end up in the bin.

Because of this it is good that you know which products should be kept away from the cold temperature in the refrigerator.

.Potatoes – low temperatures can separate the starch inside the potatoes and due to this the potato will gain sweet taste and will be incredibly hard for cooking. This is why you should store it in a cool, dry and dark place. Keep them into paper bags because the plastic will accelerate rotting because they attract more moisture.
.Honey – Keep the honey always at room temperature so it cannot become crystallized. Like it, it will maintain its smooth and liquid texture.
.Watermelon – The taste of cooled and juicy watermelon is irreplaceable but, studies have shown that the beneficial oxidants inside watermelon are destroyed at low temperatures. If after buying you are not able to eat the whole watermelon, place it in refrigerator with higher temperature up to 2-3 days.
.Tomatoes – buy smaller quantities of this vegetable so you can be able to eat them faster and prevent rotting while you keep them at room temperature. Do not keep them in refrigerator because the low temperature makes them loose and powdery.
.Garlic and onion – best place for keeping uncleansed aromatic vegetables are the dark and dry places. Cold and humid air in the refrigerator can rot them or turn them into pulp and destroy their flavor.
.Chocolate cream – Why you should not store chocolate cream in the refrigerator: the taste of chocolate and cocoa is more intense when the cream is in liquid form and it can be more easily placed on pancakes.
.Bread – If you have excess bread better froze it. Bread inside the refrigerator will dry out with incredible speed and will become hard and unusable.
.Coffee beans – it is good to keep few coffee beans in refrigerator to absorb the unpleasant odors but the coffee which is for consumption should not be placed inside the refrigerator. It will lose the authentic taste and aroma due to condensation and will rot the beans. For best, keep in container which is tightly closed on dark place.
