Scientists conducted this research using flies and the results showed that young insects lived 25 per cent longer than flies which did not get any cranberries. Scientists also fed older flies with some cranberries, and these insects lived 30 per cent longer.
Studying protein in the brain, experts discovered that people who consumed cranberries have less cell damage caused by stress. Cranberries contain protective antioxidants, beneficial for the human body.
